Job description

The Locker Room Attendant plays a vital role in delivering the exceptional member experience that defines East Bank Club. This position is responsible for maintaining a pristine, welcoming, and fully stocked locker room environment while providing attentive, personalized service to members and guests. The Attendant supports both the Women's Locker Room and the Men's and Women's Spa operations by ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, safety, and hospitality.

Successful candidates demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a commitment to creating a luxury environment that supports our members' health, wellness, and overall experience.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. This is considered an entry level position.

Sunday: 1:00-7:00pm
Monday: 3:00-11:00pm
Tuesday: 1:00-7:00pm
Wednesday: off
Thursday: off
Friday: off
Saturday: 9:00am-3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Locker Room & Spa Operations:

  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and functionality of the Women's Locker Room, Women's Spa, Men's Spa, and all related support areas.
  • Use prescribed cleaning products and procedures to clean and sanitize all surfaces, including but not limited to: Lockers, Mirrors, Countertops, Toilets and sinks, Showers, Contrast Therapy, Tile and stainless-steel surfaces, Flooring and carpeting, Water stations and dispensers.
  • Routinely inspect all areas to ensure they meet East Bank Club cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Collect, transport, and replenish towels efficiently to maintain adequate inventory levels throughout the locker rooms and both spa facilities.
  • Stock and maintain all member amenities and supplies, including: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, Hairbrushes and grooming supplies, Cotton swabs and tissues, Toilet paper and paper products, Beverage and hydration stations.
  • Ensure all dispensers, containers, and amenity stations are clean, fully stocked, properly labeled, and in excellent condition.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the locker rooms and spa facilities.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain spa sandals, water stations, relaxation areas, and other spa support amenities.
  • Maintain locker conditions by removing debris, identifying lost-and-found items, reporting damage, and completing routine locker wipe-downs and inspections.
  • Utilize cleaning equipment and tools including mops, vacuums, squeegees, and other housekeeping equipment safely and effectively, while following shift checklist expectations and ensuring a hygienic and safe environment at all times.
  • Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or facility issues promptly to leadership.
  • Support special cleaning projects, deep-cleaning assignments, and seasonal operational initiatives as assigned.

Operational Excellence:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of East Bank Club amenities, services, programs, and offerings.
  • Assist members by providing accurate information and directing them to appropriate departments when needed.
  • Support daily operational needs of the Women's Locker Room, Women's Spa, and Men's Spa.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing operational needs and priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates and other departments to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Member Service & Hospitality:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Deliver a high level of hospitality, integrity, and professionalism while creating a world-class experience for members and guests.

  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance in accordance with East Bank Club dress code standards.
  • Wear the required uniform and name tag at all times while on duty.
  • Demonstrate a strong and consistent work ethic, reliability, and accountability.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor during all member and team interactions.
  • Refrain from personal cell phone use while on duty except during approved breaks in designated areas.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, safety concerns, member complaints, and operational issues promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality while remaining in compliance with East Bank Club attendance policies.
  • Follow all East Bank Club policies, procedures, and Employee Handbook guidelines.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate housekeeping and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to work in warm environments such as steam rooms and saunas for short periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning, stocking, and organizational tasks throughout the shift.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel, spa, resort, fitness club, private club, or similar hospitality environment required.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hospitality, wellness, and luxury service standards preferred.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
