Job Description
Develops and manages profitable deposit, loan, investment, and any other financial relationships with a high net worth/professional client base in the applicable market. Develops new-to-bank business relationships, as well as cross-marketing/needs fulfillment for existing clients, through segment-based sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets and maximize operating capabilities and profitability by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Establishes, coordinates, and manages client's financial relationships, including but not limited to consumer/commercial loans, business purpose loans, personal/business checking accounts, time deposits, personal/business Investment options, and cash management services.
  • Interviews loan applicants, collects financial and related data, and analyzes related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect as well as the merits of the loan request.
  • Establishes and negotiates, when necessary, the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method, payment schedule, and collateral requirements.
  • Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect from past due accounts.
  • Develops new business by contacting prospects and customers.
  • Follows up on specific leads offering business development opportunities, promoting the bank's services (including investment and insurance referrals), placing the prospect in contact with the appropriate bank personnel and following through to determine the results of the meeting.
  • Works with Commercial Relationship Bankers in acquiring and servicing large commercial relationships.
  • Prepares loan documents and opens new accounts when necessary.
  • Partners with other Origin businesses (i.e. Treasury, Retail, Mortgage, etc.) to ensure ongoing and appropriate communication to support overall client and franchise objectives.
  • Maintains an active role in community affairs by participation in community organizations/projects to improve the bank's visibility in the area and offer further opportunities to acquire useful information as well as enhancing business opportunities and the marketing efforts of the bank.
  • Serves as a client relationship representative to all Origin customers by listening, researching, and complaint/inquiry resolution as needed.
  • Promotes bank services and products to improve client awareness and strengthen community knowledge of Origin's products.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends in banking by regularly attending seminars, reading appropriate periodicals, and attending applicable training.

Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise employees of the Lending Staff such as Loan Assistants. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance in conjunction with management; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field; minimum ten years strong performance in client relations, private banking, investments, or sales experience; working knowledge of federal/state laws related to banking/lending practices; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking and an ability to quickly learn new products and services.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
