Job Description
Overview:
  • Receives product off the main banding line.
  • Checks load tags and either loads the product into the specified trailer(s), or moves product into inventory.
  • Moves product from inventory to machines.
  • Completes the required paper work.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Follow and help to ensure that fellow workers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
  • Be constantly vigilant and maintain a safe & clean work area.
  • Utilize scanners and ensure inventories are kept accurate.
  • Ensure that all orders produced are moved to the next operation.
  • Handle product to minimize damage
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a licensed powered industrial truck operator
  • Must be able to operate a lift truck safely with minimal product damage
  • Must be able to accurately scan load tags and maintain accurate inventories
  • Must be able to read and follow production schedules

Required Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong math/algebra skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred, not required.
  • Forklift license required.

Physical Demands:
  • The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
  • Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees - 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
