Position Summary
Do you love great food and great restaurants? Baldor Specialty Foods, a leader in premium food distribution, is expanding its Sales Executive Team, and we're seeking driven, food-passionate professionals who excel at building client relationships, growing accounts, developing new business, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you'll get to partner with some of the best chefs in the region to introduce them to great ingredients that will enhance their menus. We're looking for people who can live and breathe the stories of our products-people who can share our customers' passion for high-quality produce, meats, dairy, and specialty products. Many of our best Sales Executives have been chefs themselves, but it's certainly not a requirement. You'll fit in here if you have experience with consultative/solution-oriented sales, as we aim to deliver "radical hospitality" while trying to grow average order value and new customers. This role offers unlimited earning potential with no caps on commission, making it the perfect opportunity for top sales performers to maximize their success, while also being surrounded by incredible food.
Responsibilities
  • Generate sales by developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing accounts
  • Go into market every week to connect with chefs, caterers, hotels, and retail partners to build or acquire business
  • Present Baldor's premium product line using samples, catalogs, and consultative selling techniques
  • Prepare contracts, quote prices, and manage credit terms to close deals effectively
  • Provide accurate timelines for delivery, manage customer expectations, and ensure timely payment collections
  • Maintain organized records of business transactions, update CRM systems, and track account receivables
  • Partner with inside sales representatives to coordinate account activities and customer support
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings
  • Represent Baldor's values while fostering long-term partnerships rooted in trust

Requirements and Skills
  • Experienced: 4+ years of proven success in sales (food sales, restaurant, or catering preferred)
  • Passionate: Genuine love for food and the culinary industry
  • Relationship Builder: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-Starter: Motivated to learn, ask questions, and thrive independently
  • Leader: Able to foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that motivates others
  • Data-Driven: Comfortable using metrics to monitor progress and drive decisions
  • Determined: Brings urgency and focus to achieving results under tight deadlines
  • Prepared: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for customer visits

Why Join Baldor as a Sales Executive?
  • Competitive base salary
  • Uncapped commission plan with unlimited earning potential
  • Travel reimbursement
  • Health, dental & vision insurance
  • Paid holidays & vacation time
  • Retirement savings plan with employer match
  • Employee discounts on premium products
  • Career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company
  • Being surrounded by great food!

Join our dynamic team and make a significant impact on the success of our products and the satisfaction of our customers. Apply today and help shape the future of specialty food distribution with Baldor.
