Job description

Eatzi's is a European style Eatery where we prepare fresh pastries from scratch daily. Are you a talented pastry chef who loves directing a fast-paced, high-volume production kitchen? Join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee production of all pastry goods for the market, including cookies, brownies, breads, cakes, puddings, pastries, and desserts from scratch
  • Hire, coach and evaluate pastry team members to meet service and performance standards
  • Create employee schedules
  • Establish and maintain quality and food production controls
  • Develop and refine existing recipes
  • Maintain safety and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals in the organization

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in all phases of baking in high-volume pastry production
  • Two years technical school or certified apprenticeship preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in managing labor and food cost
  • Ability to create innovative desserts made from scratch and create recipes for high volume production
  • Well-organized with proven ability to meet timelines and show results through initiatives
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
