Overview

Reporting to the Production Leader - Supervisor, the Operator will work in a fast-paced food production environment ensuring equipment is running smoothly and efficiently, products meet quality and safety standards, and production goals are achieved. 

Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (start times: 3:00 AM or 5:00 AM)

*Must be flexible to work weekdays and weekends*

Location: 2095 Meadowvale Blvd. Mississauga, ON.

Pay Rate: $22/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legislative and Wonderbrands food safety and good manufacturing practices, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for setting and adjusting controls of dividers in accordance with product specification.
  • Checks and records all necessary information as per standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for the set-up of overhead proofer and reciprocating conveyor as per product requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains flour dusters as required.
  • Perform changeovers in a timely manner to maximize product efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the setting and adjusting controls for stampers, sheeters and molding boards, in accordance with product specifications.
  • Assist Research and Development team with product trials.
  • Assist Mixers as required.
  • Manage breaks for line crew.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of dough mixing qualities.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve common issues and perform machine adjustments.
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. of weight on a consistent basis.
  • Able to push and pull weight up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Maintain productivity in a fast-paced operation.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) is considered an asset.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills preferred.
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset.
