In this role, you'll oversee the daily operations of the deli and bakery, lead and develop team members, manage inventory and merchandising, maintain food safety standards, and ensure the

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the deli and bakery team.
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Delegate daily responsibilities and ensure operational standards are met.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while demonstrating our Core Values.

Customer Service

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example.
  • Assist customers with product selection, special orders, and recommendations.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Help create an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

Department Operations

  • Oversee food preparation and production according to company standards.
  • Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and product rotation.
  • Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays in deli and bakery cases.
  • Monitor inventory levels, control shrink, and maintain organized back stock.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and promotional displays.
  • Assist with product sampling and promotional events.

Food Safety & Store Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Maintain clean prep areas, equipment, coolers, and freezers.
  • Monitor department quality, freshness, and overall presentation.
  • Support department goals for cleanliness, organization, sales, and profitability.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous grocery, deli, bakery, food service, or retail management experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Food safety certification (ServSafe® or equivalent) preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
