As a Bakery Manager, you are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Bakery department, and get to know our Customers, and treat them to excellent service. You will supervise a team of Partners.

We are looking for:
- certified Bakery Expert or equivalent (e.g., RBA-certified Master Baker)
- School of Retail Management (SORM) training
What is the work?
Management:
- Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters
- Trains School of Retail Management (SORM) and School of Retail Leadership (SORL) trainees
- Assists all Partners in the department with their duties; coaches / trains; and evaluates as needed
- Holds Partners accountable for following SOPs
- Prepares work schedules, orders product, controls inventory, monitors department budget and payroll
Production:
- Prepares the production plan; ensures correct quantities are produced
- Maintains correct product levels by conducting weekly reviews of production quantities
- Monitors showcase production and stales tracking
- Accountable for results of Bakery Scorecard
Sales:
- Executes merchandising programs and drives sales by producing appropriate variety and quantity of bakery products daily
- Responsible for large product assortment and sales volume
- Increases department contribution by effectively managing shrink and inventory levels
- Maintains the highest levels of customer service through personal example, SOP compliance, and accountability
Food Safety / Sanitation:
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B policy and standards for product food safety and sanitation
- Maintains safety / sanitation of equipment and department; maintains sanitation standards throughout the work area
What is your background?
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Certified Bakery Expert or equivalent (e.g., Retail Bakery Association-Certified Master Baker preferred)
- SORM or equivalent
- Food Safety certification
- Forklift / power jack training
