Job description

A Day Prep/Baker team member is responsible for mixing, cooking or baking of the majority of the menu items needed for guests. Including but not limited to desserts (pies and cheese cakes), homemade crackers, sauces, salad dressings, appetizer items and catering event items. The Angus Barn has always had a reputation for the freshness of their menu offerings.
Team members are responsible for obtaining the supplies and ingredients needed in order to prepare quantities that bring inventory up to par level for the evening. Par levels fluctuate with the season and the day of the week.
Prep and baking duties include but not limited to washing, cutting/slicing, measuring and mixing/kneading by hand and/or using industrial appliances.
Team members are responsible for quality assurance of the ingredients and to show any inferior product to a manager. Use food ingredients and appliances responsibly avoiding waist or abuse.
Team members are responsible before, during, and at the end of their shift for the cleanliness and sanitation of their work area and equipment.
An Angus Barn Day Prep/Baker employee must have good personal hygiene and grooming habits; have a positive work attitude and the ability to work with others; be flexible in scheduling; be willing to perform other tasks and be willing to follow manager's directions. Must have the agility to move and stand for up to 8 hours per shift and should be able lift 50 lbs. Team Members must be willing to stay on the job until preparations for the coming evening or days ahead are completed. Any questions with the above description may be discussed.
