WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Adhere to all HCCTR as well as all Food and Beverage Policies 
  • Follows batch recipes on all desserts as instructed by Executive Pastry Chef. 
  • Keep bakery clean at all times 
  • Properly stores and rotates all baked goods and ingredients. 
  • Ensures that the bakery items are always stocked and ready for our guests. 
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure that our guests receive the best dining experience we can offer 
  • Ensures all waste is logged into the waste book 
  • Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries and any task assigned to you by the pastry Chef 
  • Prepares items in accordance to restaurant order guides 
  • Maintains valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit and TIPS certifications

  • 6 months experience in a large volume bakery field.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and volume.
  • Ability to multiply and divide recipe quantities as needed
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
  • West Virginia food handlers card.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, knell, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
