At Thump, you’ll work with people who love good food, great coffee, and each other. We pay $20–$21/hr, feed you a free shift meal every day, and give you evenings free to enjoy your life outside the kitchen.


The Role

Part-time Bakery Assistant position, 2-3 days/week with Saturday and Sunday availability required.  Shifts are 8:00am - 4:00pm (sometimes shorter) at our York Café, Bakery, & Roastery.

*Physical Realities of the Job

This is active, on-your-feet work. Expect to:

  • Lift and carry heavy mixing bowls, baking trays, and ingredients
  • Operate large ovens, mixers, and other commercial baking gear
  • Push/pull baking racks and carts
  • Stand/walk for most of your shift
  • Bend, reach, and stoop to grab ingredients and tools
  • Roll, stir, fold, and shape doughs and batters
  • Tackle dish duty—because clean tools make great food
  • Must be 18 years or older
