BAIN CAPITAL SPECIAL SITUATIONS OVERVIEW

Bain Capital Special Situations has $19 billion in assets under management and has invested $35 billion in more than 900 deals across a balanced geographic mix of investments in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific since its founding in 2002. We provide bespoke capital solutions to meet the diverse needs of companies, entrepreneurs, and asset owners - in all market cycles. The strategy brings together equity and credit expertise, as well as corporate and real asset expertise, to provide solutions which cannot be met by traditional providers or other funds within Bain Capital. Our dedicated, global team of 141 investment and portfolio professionals contribute the local expertise and capabilities that enable these diverse investments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Investor Relations team seeks a full-time Analyst/Associate. This individual will have primary responsibility for working with senior Investor Relations professionals covering Bain Capital Special Situations. This position will involve key tasks such as:

  • Completing RFPs/RFIs and updating Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
  • Servicing investor information requests, during fundraising and on an ongoing basis
  • Performing fund, investor, and market-level analysis
  • Providing research/analytical support for IR special projects
  • Assisting with recurring reporting preparation, updating marketing collateral, and investor letter writing
  • Maintaining various consultant and performance databases
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong academic credentials (BS/BA from highly-regarded institution)
  • 0-4+ years of experience in asset management, consulting or financial services' related marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior personnel across the firm
  • Strong analytical skills; comfort organizing and interpreting large amounts of data
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to take on any task, no matter how small
  • Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience manipulating large data sets with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and energetic self-starter with ability to think creatively
Compensation

Expected Annual Base Salary $75,000 - $100,000. Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
