Electronics test technicians at BAE Systems, Inc. work with controls and avionics systems for some of the most well-known military aircraft in the world, testing components of these systems built right here in Endicott, NY for functionality and build quality. As an electronics test technician you will perform both automated and manual test procedures on electronic circuits, and draw from a healthy understanding of electronics principals, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot test failures. Technicians must understand how to use instrumentation and tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers and must be able to read and understand technical documentation such as electrical schematics, and technical drawings. The ideal candidate for this job has excellent attention to detail, enjoys solving challenging technical problems and is able to follow written procedures and abide by their guidelines. This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified.
Required Skills and Education

• Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces or current drilling member of a Reserve/Guard component with a service-connected injury or disability
• Candidates must have functional knowledge of electronic measurement equipment such as Voltmeters, Ammeters and Oscilloscopes
• Must be able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams
• Must be able to follow precise written instruction
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to slide 200 lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to work at a brisk pace and remain standing for 6 hours at a time

Preferred Skills and Education

• Experience with functional test of electronics products
• Excellent technical problem solving skills
• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar; or has equivalent experience
• Overseas operational deployments or specialized military schools
