BAE Systems team is looking for a highly trained and motivated Principal Closed Area Systems Administrator to lead and manage classified IT infrastructure operations. Responsibilities: Maintain a suite of PC clients running Windows, Microsoft Office, TMPC software, and other 3rd party COTS/GOTS; servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and also TMPC software, and other 3rd party COTS/GOTS running in a virtualized environment; and other network hardware, storage, and other devices in support of the TMPC development and integration test environment. Position will also include cybersecurity responsibilities and maintaining the security posture of integration and development environment in accordance with BAE Systems and DoD mandated information security requirements.
This position is 100% onsite within a closed, classified area. Some after-hours or weekend support may be required for maintenance windows or incident response. You must be able to lift equipment (up to 40lbs) and work within controlled environments.

Required Skills and Education
- Solid experience operating within VMware infrastructure
- Proficient in RedHat 7/8/9 administration; strong command of Linux RHEL patching workflows and package management tools (e.g., YUM/DNF)
- Strong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server OS administration and installation experience
- Experience with supporting classified networks
- Experience with ePO integration - attain McAfee ePO Administrator (5.10) Certification within 6 months
- Experience with networking concepts (DNS, LDAP, SSH/SCP, Switches, and Routers)
- Experience with cybersecurity/information assurance processes and procedures; familiarity with DISA STIGs, Nessus vulnerability scanning, and cyber compliance frameworks
- Familiarization with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certified
Preferred Skills and Education
- Experience supporting system accreditation efforts (SSP, POA&M, RMF)
- Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation and task efficiency
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs, Nessus vulnerability scanning, and cyber compliance frameworks
- Experience installing and configuring development tools
- Proficient in the installation and administration of Shared Storage devices
- Experience with virtualization architectures, software, hypervisors; administration/installation (RedHat KVM)
- Familiar with MS Office products: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Exhibiting teaming skills and collaborating within a cross-functional team
