SCOPE:

An Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure high performance, stability, and security. This role emphasizes operational excellence, focusing on day-to-day maintenance, incident response, and automation of cloud environments.

 Core Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including compute resources, virtual networks, storage solutions, and application services
  • Monitor and optimize cloud system performance by tracking availability, performance metrics, and proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations
  • Implement and enforce security measures including security policies, best practices, and compliance requirements to safeguard cloud resources and protect sensitive data
  • Automate cloud operations and processes by developing scripts and automation tools using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce human error
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues by managing incidents with a focus on service restoration and collaborating with development and IT teams to minimize downtime
  • Manage rollout of patches and release management including scheduling and implementing system updates following organizational guidelines
  • Optimize cloud costs by monitoring and analyzing resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost optimization strategies
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data and application availability during unforeseen events
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment, evaluate new services based on requirements, and recommend architectural improvements
