Join VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions and a leader in providing passenger and checked baggage screening services at various airports across the United States.  VMD Corp has an upcoming need for Full-Time Security Guard Supervisor with an active Security Guard Card.    
What you will do:   
Grow in a fulfilling career as a Security Guard Supervisor working alongside a team of aviation security professionals.  You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while identifying and preventing unsafe objects from exiting the airport.    
Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:   
  • Scheduling and rotating of other guards
  • Ensure that breaks and lunches are completed in a timely manner
  • Conduct shift briefings as needed
  • Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
  • Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
  • Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
  • Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
  • Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy.
  • Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
What you will need:   
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
  • Have an active Security Guard Card
  • Hold a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri
  • Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays (flexibility is key)
  • Ability to pass SIDA Badge background check
  • Ability to interact professionally with the public with a focus on customer service
  • Proven experience in security, screening, or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate interaction with diverse individuals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle high-stress situations calmly
  • Attention to detail and commitment to following established security protocols
