Job Summary:
ASSA ABLOY Group is launching a new greenfield product and is building a cross-functional product team to deliver it. They are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to define, build, and scale the backend foundation of this product while collaborating closely with a full-stack team to deliver high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and develop backend services for a new product using TypeScript and NestJS or similar frameworks
โ€ข Contribute to architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and longโ€‘term maintainability
โ€ข Build and maintain APIs and backend services that support dataโ€‘driven and MLโ€‘enabled features
โ€ข Develop and manage data access layers using Prisma or equivalent ORM technologies
โ€ข Containerize backend services using Docker or equivalent and support deployment into enterpriseโ€‘managed environments
โ€ข Help mature earlyโ€‘stage prototypes and MVPs into productionโ€‘ready systems
โ€ข Ensure backend systems meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and operational stability
โ€ข Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation
โ€ข Balance rapid product iteration with enterprise engineering best practices
Qualifications:
