Responsibilities
  • Lead technical strategy and architecture for integrations with third-party backend gaming service providers.
  • Design robust, scalable solutions that connect external game backend services with Xsolla's ecosystem.
  • Act as the primary subject-matter expert on backend gaming systems, including identity, inventory, entitlements, progression, matchmaking, and social features.
  • Collaborate with external provider teams and internal Xsolla product/engineering groups to align APIs, workflows, and use cases.
  • Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data flows across all integration surfaces.
  • Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and promote best practices in software architecture.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and deployment stability across integrated systems.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of game backend systems and services (identity, entitlements, inventory, progression, matchmaking, etc.).
  • Proven experience designing integrations between large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
  • Proven experience SDK/API design skills and experience with microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, cross-team collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
 
Nice to Have
  • Background in gaming infrastructure, live game operations, or high-load server systems.
  • Experience working with SDK-driven integrations or external technical partners.
