About the Role
Our client is modernizing their POS ecosystem and is seeking .NET Integration Engineers to support backend integration development. These engineers will help build middleware translation layers to extract, transform, and transmit POS data from a new retail POS system into enterprise applications.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using .NET Core and C#.
  • Develop middleware translation layers for extracting data from a new POS system.
  • Build scalable integrations, APIs, and data pipelines supporting retail operations.
  • Work with architects to design integration patterns and data flows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and refine POS data extraction and transformation processes.
  • Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience with .NET Core and C# backend development.
  • Prior experience building integrations, middleware, or API services.
  • Ability to design RESTful services, microservices, or data translation pipelines.
  • Experience working with POS systems or retail data flows is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, and JSON/XML transformations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work onsite with existing engineering teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with new POS system integrations in the retail environment.
