The Back Waiter is a vital role for creating exceptional guest experiences. Back Waiters help the Server make sure every detail is taken care of. The primary objective of the Back Waiter is to be the primary table assistant for their assigned server or section. Back Waiters clear dirty flatware and glasses, assist with guest communication, and anticipate the needs of the guest to make sure the guest experience is seamless and exceptional.
Responsibilities
  • Execution of water service, pouring, refilling, maintaining water levels
  • Ensure table is always free of foreign objects, trash, unused plates and glassware
  • Ensure table is always prepared for upcoming course silverware, plates, linen, etc
  • Ensure table is properly wiped down and reset between courses
  • The delivery of beverages from off of the service bar to guests in their sections
  • All guests requests are attended to and communicated properly from guest to server to kitchen to manager
  • Assist Front waiter with greeting tables when applicable
  • On-going table maintenance
  • Clearing and resetting of table in timely manner immediately after guests depart
  • Spot checks, under tables, on floor , on booths and chairs of entire section for trash debris and gum
  • Clean up of any and all spills in sections
  • Stock and upkeep of side stations
  • Always smiling and actively engaged on the floor
  • Proactively suggest additional cocktails from guests and relay with front waiter to execute
  • Relay additional food orders from guests to front waiters
  • In the event guests get up from tables napkins are refolded and placed nicely on table.

Qualifications
  • Experience in fine dining preferred
  • Exhibit strong multitasking abilities
  • Posses a diligent work ethic
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Display the ability to forecast and anticipate the needs of our guests and the restaurant
  • Experience in a Full Service Restaurant Preferred
  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift up to 35lbs
