Local Fresh AS/BS Science Graduates with Plant Tissue Culture Considered
One year contract assignment
Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm onsite
Hourly pay rate: $27
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking candidates for a biotechnology company dedicated to advancing plant breeding and agricultural innovation. We are seeking a Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory Technician to support cutting-edge research focused on developing and evaluating novel plant breeding methods. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in biological sciences who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and contributing to meaningful scientific research.
Working under the guidance of a supervisor, you will support plant tissue culture research activities and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute experiments, analyze results, and maintain high laboratory standards.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Process plant samples using sterile and aseptic laboratory techniques
  • Perform plant tissue culture activities, including plant transformation and plant propagation
  • Measure, image, analyze, and document experimental results
  • Coordinate sample collection, preparation, and processing for research projects
  • Conduct analytical assays on plant tissue samples as needed
  • Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and data
  • Record research data using proprietary and standard software applications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment while following all safety protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with research team members to support project goals
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Science, or a related life science field.
  • Industry laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on laboratory experience is preferred
  • Experience with plant transformation or plant tissue culture in an academic or industry setting is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive laboratory tasks with accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
