Job description

We are looking for cheery, outgoing and friendly faces to work part-time at Babettes' fast paced bakery counter, helping customers with coffee drinks, bakery and market purchases, and keeping a clean storefront and dining room. We are always looking for good people to fill our shifts for either opening or closing varying from 7:00 am-4:30 pm, must be able to work weekends, must be flexible. Coffee experience a plus. We are looking for someone with the following qualities;

-Reliable; we are a fairly small staff so do not have a lot of flexibility for more than a reasonable time off

- Strong sense of urgency and hospitality; capable of interacting with customers and with problem solving to help customers as needed, focus on customers.

-Team Player; good with communicating, taking initiative in keeping Babettes' running smoothly as well as thinking forward to what can be done to make a smooth transition to the next shift. Everyone shares the tip pool, everyone shares the work in creating a welcoming environment for all of our guests.

- Takes pride in a clean and organized space. The closing shift entails cleaning the bakery, the dishroom, public restrooms, a dining room, coffee area, & outdoor area. Maintaining a clean establishment throughout the day helps the close go more smoothly.

-Reliable; we have a fairly small staff, therefore need to know that we can count on you to make it to your shifts and not ask for beyond a reasonable amount of time off as this greatly affects the rest of your fellow employees.

Pay is minimum wage (currently $15.16/hr in addition to whole house shared tips based on day worked, averages $6-$12/hr in tips in addition to minimum wage. Please send resume, cover letter and references, we look forward to meeting you.
