CDL B Delivery Truck Driver

Meadow Gold Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL B Delivery Truck Drivers to operate a straight truck safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various Dairy products, to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

DFA manufactures a variety of dairy products, including cheese, butter, fluid milk, ice cream, dairy ingredients and more, under well-known and established regional brands. Our fingerprints touch thousands of brands across the marketplace, and we're passionate about delivering the simple pleasures of dairy from our farmer family owners to people everywhere.

Our Truck Drivers For This Position Can Make:

  • $32.40 per hour

Schedule:

Rotating 4 day work week with Sundays off, and two days off in a row.

  • Start time between 1 am โ€“ 3 am

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices
  • Deliver products or assets according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely manner. Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel
  • Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents or breakdowns
  • Based on route design, load and unload product as required at designated stops (2-wheel cart and/or pallet jacket); may include stocking and ordering of product (varies from route to route)
  • Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers and report any problems to the driver supervisor or manager
  • Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used (tires, fuel, oil check, etc.) and maintain a clean vehicle
  • Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day. Maintain all log and trip records according to company policy and DOT guidelines
  • Perform load inventory and document condition of freight before departure
  • Attend all driver workshops and training sessions
  • Use company supported applications or systems properly
  • Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times during interactions with customers or other individuals

  • 6 months related experience preferred
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • 21+ years of age
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks)
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to push, pull, & lift to 55 lbs.
  • Flexibility โ€“ overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
