110 N MAIN ST   DAYTON, OH 45402

DEPT: DIGITAL STRATEGY

Full-Time

Description

If you are motivated by the opportunity to build something enduring, take ownership of enterprise-scale cloud architecture, and make a meaningful impact in an organization whose work improves lives every day, this role offers exactly that. As Senior Cloud Engineer Architect Azure at Premier Health, you will step into a highly visible leadership role as the senior-most individual contributor for Azure infrastructure. You will have the chance to shape a secure, scalable, and internally managed Azure platform that supports critical business and clinical operations, while partnering with teams across the organization to deliver measurable value.

This position is ideal for a cloud professional who wants more than maintenance work. Here, you will influence strategy, define standards, guide modernization, and lead the transition from consultant-led Azure implementations to a stable, governed, enterprise-ready cloud environment. You will work across the full cloud lifecycle, from architecture and design through engineering, administration, security, operations, and optimization. The role offers the autonomy to make high-impact technical decisions, the responsibility to protect and strengthen the platform, and the opportunity to build solutions that are aligned with both operational goals and Premier Health's mission.

Premier Health offers the kind of environment where your work can feel both technically rewarding and personally meaningful. Known for serving communities through high-quality care and operational excellence, Premier Health provides the stability of an established organization with the forward momentum of a team investing in cloud maturity, governance, and innovation. Employees are drawn to organizations like Premier Health because they value purpose, collaboration, and the ability to contribute to outcomes that matter. In this role, you will be positioned at the center of that mission, helping enable the systems and services that support patients, clinicians, and administrative teams.

Connection and collaboration are essential in this position. You will partner closely with Architectural, Digital, Security, Administrative, and business teams across Premier Health, ensuring cloud capabilities are designed, implemented, and operated in ways that support users, vendors, and enterprise priorities. This is a role where your expertise will be recognized, your judgment will be trusted, and your contributions will directly influence how teams work together and succeed. For professionals who enjoy being part of a respected organization where peers value one another's contributions and where technical excellence is tied to real-world impact, this position offers a strong sense of purpose and belonging.

Employees thrive in environments where their work is valued, where collaboration is genuine, and where they can see the results of their efforts. At Premier Health, this role offers the opportunity to help create a secure, resilient Azure foundation in a predominantly COTS-based environment, while responsibly supporting selective automation and lightweight custom solutions as business needs evolve. Acting as both architect and engineer, you will translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into durable cloud solutions, provide authoritative guidance for Azure infrastructure decisions, and maintain accountability for platform stability, security posture, and long-term sustainability.

  • Serve as the senior-most individual contributor responsible for Azure cloud infrastructure, with end-to-end ownership spanning architecture, engineering, administration, security, networking, and operations
  • Architect, engineer, administer, and operate secure, enterprise Azure infrastructure in a predominantly COTS-based environment while accommodating selective automation and lightweight custom solutions
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure networking architecture including Virtual Networks, subnets, routing, DNS, NSGs, Azure Firewall, load balancing, traffic management, and hybrid connectivity such as VPN, ExpressRoute, and on-prem integration
  • Define and evolve the organization's Azure platform strategy, including landing zones, network topology, identity, security controls, governance, and operational standards
  • Design Azure environments aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework, embedding resiliency, scalability, performance, security, segmentation, and cost efficiency
  • Lead the transition of Azure environments from consultant-led deployments to internal ownership by assessing, stabilizing, re-architecting, securing, and improving existing implementations
  • Take full accountability for production readiness and platform integrity, including identity and access management, network security, monitoring, backup and recovery, vulnerability management, and cost governance
  • Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code for Azure infrastructure and networking components using controlled, repeatable, and auditable deployment workflows
  • Establish and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting for Azure infrastructure and network health, with emphasis on security, visibility, and incident response
  • Collaborate closely with Architectural, Digital, Security, Administrative, and business teams to design and administer solution sets that deliver measurable value to Premier Health
  • Support and govern requests from business teams for automation, scripting, and limited custom solutions, ensuring secure network integration and connectivity to Azure resources and vendor platforms
  • Serve as the technical escalation point and trusted advisor for Azure infrastructure, networking, and cloud security architecture decisions
