Senior Security Engineer | Azure & Network Security

Client Locations: San Francisco, CA, West Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, Birmingham, AL, Tampa, FL
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days per week)
Duration: Long-term Contract role (Potential C2H)

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer with strong Network Security and Information Security experience to perform security assessments and evaluate security architecture across on-premises and Azure cloud environments.

What You ll Do:

  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability assessments, scanning, and penetration testing across network and cloud environments.
  • Assess network architecture, firewalls, security controls, and Azure security configurations.
  • Work with IT, DevOps, Application Development, and Enterprise Architecture teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Review and enhance Azure security using Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSG), Azure Gateway, Defender/Security Center, and Key Vault.
  • Integrate security controls and automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply IAM, data protection, secure connectivity, SSDLC, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Develop security standards and policies aligned with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and OWASP.
  • Prepare security assessment reports and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.

Required:

  • 5+ years of Network Security / Information Security experience
  • Hands-on experience with on-premises and Azure environments
  • Strong network security and security architecture knowledge
  • Experience with manual & automated security testing, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing
  • Knowledge of Azure Firewall, NSGs, Defender/Security Center, Key Vault, and Azure networking
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps / SSDLC / CI/CD security
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field

Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer Associate

Ideal Background: Network Security Engineer, Security Engineer, Network Engineer, or Systems Engineer with strong networking, security, and Azure experience.
