Job description


Position Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in GCP Landing Zones to join the Cirrascale Engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, architecting, and maintaining our secure, automated, and scalable Google Cloud to support AI, deep learning, and HPC workloads. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, networking, and operations teams to build robust resource hierarchies, advanced network topologies, and automated security guardrails tailored to large-scale GPU infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement GCP landing zones: organization/folder/project structure, billing, labels, org policies, and security policies.
  • Build automated infrastructure and platform modules for networking, compute, storage, databases, and IAM.
  • Lead network and hybrid connectivity design: Shared VPC, hub-and-spoke, Interconnect, VPN, Private Service Connect, DNS and IPAM.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure low latency, high bandwidth, and data integrity.
  • Write and maintain detailed technical documentation and runbooks.
  • Contribute to strategic infrastructure planning and scaling initiatives


Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform or cloud engineering.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP landing zone design, resource hierarchy, shared VPC, organization policies, IAM, and security controls.
  • Successfully completed multiple GCP landing zone implementations.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Experience with GPU architectures such as Nvidia Blackwell & AMD Instinct.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking principles.
  • Proficiency in programming, scripting and automation.
  • Advanced understanding of Linux and Unix operating systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

The base salary range for the Cloud Engineer - GCP is $160,000 to $200,000 USD. This pay range reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay range for this job for the location for which it has been posted. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individualโ€™s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
