Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Program Specialist to join our growing cybersecurity team. This role will focus primarily on application security while helping drive broader cybersecurity initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience securing applications, partnering with development teams, and leading cross-functional security projects from conception through implementation. Experience with Zero Trust architecture, vulnerability management programs, SOC operations, and security program management is highly desirable.

You will:

  • Partner with development, infrastructure, cloud, and technology teams to integrate security across the organization.
  • Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis while driving remediation efforts.
  • Support security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to Zero Trust and security architecture efforts, including identity and access management controls.
  • Lead cybersecurity projects, track key metrics, and support strategic planning and roadmap development.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates based out of our Lincoln, NE, Omaha, NE, Overland Park, KS or North Kansas City, MO offices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or information security.
  • Experience with application security tools, methodologies, and secure coding practices.
  • Knowledge of common vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience performing security assessments and vulnerability analysis.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Zero Trust security, vulnerability management, or security operations programs.
  • Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or CIS Controls.
  • Experience leading cross-functional cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, AZ-500, or CCSP.
