Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Systems Administrator to support and evolve our IT environment across both office and manufacturing operations. This role blends hands-on user support with growing responsibility in Microsoft 365 administration, identity management, and modern endpoint services.

This position is ideal for someone looking to move beyond traditional help desk work and grow into a systems administration role. You will play a key part in helping us transition toward a more modern, cloud-first IT environment while maintaining reliable day-to-day operations.


Responsibilities and Duties

Microsoft 365 & Identity Administration

• Support and administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Manage user accounts, licensing, and access controls in Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Assist with implementing and maintaining security controls such as MFA and Conditional Access
• Troubleshoot and support collaboration and communication platforms

Endpoint & Device Management

• Support and help evolve endpoint management practices, including adoption of modern management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager)
• Assist with device provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management across existing and emerging platforms
• Support patching, updates, and endpoint compliance efforts as we modernize device management approaches

Systems & Support

• Provide support for end-user issues across hardware, software, and cloud services
• Troubleshoot Line of Business and internal applications, coordinating with vendors when needed
• Support remote users across U.S. and international locations

Infrastructure & Operations

• Assist in maintaining network and core infrastructure (on-prem and cloud-connected systems)
• Participate in system monitoring, issue resolution, and performance improvements
• Contribute to IT documentation, standards, and operational procedures

Process Improvement & Modernization

• Identify opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive IT tasks
• Participate in ongoing IT modernization initiatives, including transitioning from traditional domain-based management to more cloud-based and identity-driven solutions
• Contribute to improving device deployment, security posture, and user experience using modern IT best practices

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in IT support, systems administration, end user computing, or a similar role
• Solid understanding of Windows environments, endpoint hardware, software, and peripherals
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and core concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Windows, Microsoft 365, and exposure to Azure and Entra ID
• Familiarity with modern endpoint and identity concepts (e.g., device management, access controls, security practices)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus

Requirements

• Associate degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.

• Certifications or hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune/Endpoint Manager, or modern identity and device management practices are preferred. Equivalent experience is also valued.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform regular bending, twisting, and lifting to shelf.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push and/or pull at times.
