Description:

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for performing repetitive work-station or line assembly operations to mass produce electrical drive axles or to assemble those components (sub-assemblies) into final completion of the towing tractor or other manufactured products by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Performs any assembly type functions, using hand or power tools
  • Assemble electrical drive axle
  • Breakdown and rebuild transmissions
  • Sub-assemblies for electrical axle and transmission
  • Operates any equipment needed to perform job
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Inspects own work performed prior to Quality Inspection and Final Inspection
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Requires good critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of office software, organizational abilities and strong attention to detail
  • A proven track record of success that includes administrative management, facilities, creative problem-solving and business partner experience is desired.
  • Have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a professional, outgoing, guest-service oriented manner.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people, and remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

  • Use of safety glasses and steel toed shoes required
  • Minimum 1 year experience with air tools and prior mechanical assembly of automobiles preferred
