The Industry 4.0 Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of smart manufacturing systems and processes. This role focuses on integrating advanced technologies such as IoT, automation, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cyber-physical systems to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and innovation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for digital transformation.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Industry 4.0 solutions, including IoT devices, automation systems, and digital twins, to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Develop and deploy data analytics platforms to monitor real-time performance, predict maintenance needs, and improve decision-making
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements using Industry 4.0 technologies to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Work with AI, IT, operations, and engineering teams to align Industry 4.0 initiatives with business goals
  • Provide training to staff on new systems and technologies, ensuring smooth adoption and operation
  • Stay updated on emerging Industry 4.0 trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement
Minimum Requirements
  • US citizen or green card holder per client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Proficiency in IoT platforms (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA), UNS, and industrial communication protocols
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., PLC programming, HMI, MES, SCADA systems)
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and machine learning frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) and digital twin technologies
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Industry 4.0, IoT, Ignition Core/Gold, or AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Experience with manufacturing in industrial applications

The base compensation range for this full-time position is between $75,000-$125,000 plus benefits. Compensation decisions are supported through market data, where regional variances may exist based on cost of labor. We also consider prior experience, relevant skills, education, training, certifications, and other job-related qualifications.
