Position Description

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, deploy, automate, and support cloud infrastructure and managed services within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This role will focus on creating scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud environments and reusable platform services that serve as building blocks for enterprise and product teams.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on cloud engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform infrastructure experience, Infrastructure-as-Code expertise, and a solid understanding of DevOps, SRE, security, networking, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure and reusable cloud platforms aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and business requirements.
  2. Partner with Enterprise Architects, Security teams, Solution Architects, Product teams, and other stakeholders to develop cloud solutions that meet requirements for scalability, availability, performance, reliability, and security.
  3. Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
  4. Configure and manage Google Cloud Platform services including IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing, VPCs, gateways, Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  5. Design and implement highly available, resilient, and disaster-recovery-ready cloud environments.
  6. Develop automation scripts and tooling to improve infrastructure deployment, operational efficiency, monitoring, and resource management.
  7. Monitor cloud environments and system usage to identify performance issues, capacity requirements, and opportunities to optimize resource utilization and cloud costs.
  8. Implement and support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
  9. Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve availability, reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
  10. Integrate enterprise security, backup, disaster recovery, and data retention requirements into cloud infrastructure solutions.
  11. Design and optimize cloud storage and database solutions with a focus on availability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
  12. Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and contribute to modernization initiatives, including migration of on-premises applications and services to Google Cloud Platform.
