Job description

Billing turns cloud usage into cash flow for AWS. Our team processes billions of dollars in revenue, delivering accurate and timely invoices to customers ranging from startups to the world's largest enterprises. The artifacts we process and generate serve as a critical interface between AWS service teams, customers, partners, finance, and sales organizations. Now, we are building world-class customer-facing product experiences on top of our operational excellence foundation.
The AWS Billing Product team is seeking an exceptional Sr. Product Manager - Technical to support AWS global expansions. As we expand globally, we provide customers with localized experiences that allow them to seamlessly transact with AWS for their purchases. We are building invoicing and tax systems that can support our global billing needs. As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical in this team, you will:
1. Own the product strategy and execution of launch invoicing and tax products that enable AWS Billing globally
2. Be AWS's voice in the different marketplaces and define future roadmaps and product development of these markets and its launches
3. Collaborate closely with stakeholders/customers to identify pain points used to develop solutions to solve these problems
4. Develop go-to-market plans and actively participate in project implementation and communication.
We are looking for someone who possesses a unique blend of Finance, Business and Technical savvy with a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail to transform the vision into a reality. You must have a good understanding of the market trends, and the ability to translate these into actionable insights and customer benefits. You will need to be able to influence internal and external stakeholders and develop a results-oriented mindset by taking large and complex projects/products and breaking them down into manageable pieces for delivery. To be successful, you will need to be able to communicate well with different functional groups, developers, and business owners.
Key job responsibilities
1. Define long-term vision, own the product roadmap and align dependencies across multiple product teams and key stakeholders
2. Create product vision and go-to-market strategy to drive product delivery and launches.
3. Deep dive into customer data and feedback to ensure the right technical and business tradeoffs are considered as part of delivery
4. Own requirements gathering and feature definition of products including the appropriate success criteria to achieve desired business outcomes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- 5+ years of developing technology products and technologies experience, or a MBA and 3+ years of leading financial technology or billing products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
