What does an AVP of Product Management do?

An AVP (Assistant Vice President) of Product Management oversees the strategy, development, and lifecycle of products within an organization. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure product success and alignment with company goals. This role often involves setting product vision, prioritizing features, managing budgets, and mentoring product managers. The AVP helps drive innovation, monitors market trends, and ensures the product portfolio meets customer needs and business objectives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AVP of Product Management?

To thrive as an AVP Product Management, you need a strong background in product strategy, market analysis, and cross-functional leadership, often supported by a degree in business or a related field and several years of product management experience.
