Aviva Brick Oven in Warrendale is looking to add an Assistant FOH Manager to their team. The Assistant FOH Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the dining room and take-out area. They are responsible for supervising front of house staff and for reporting to the General Manager. They will be required to be manager on duty for some shifts, so the ability to make sound decisions is important.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage a team of front of house staff including scheduling, training, and general supervision
• Oversee that all opening and closing duties are completed correctly and that cleanliness of entire restaurant is maintained
• Assist with daily deposits as needed, as well as balancing cash drawers.
• Edit menus - online, through 3rd party software, and in-house.
• Perform weekly bar inventory
• Providing excellent customer service to guests and excellent leadership to employees
• Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in their area
• Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines
• Work closely with the General Manager and Kitchen Management to provide a seamless experience
Job Specification:
• 1+ years restaurant experience
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications including word and excel
• High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearances
• Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time
• Experience using POS systems preferred
