Schedule

Full-Time Cook Current Shift: 11am-7:30pm

Schedule may be adjusted based on community needs with advance notice.

Cook Responsibilities

As a Cook, you will prepare and serve high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals according to established menus and recipes
  • Accommodate special dietary needs and physician-ordered diets
  • Assist with meal preparation for upcoming services and special events
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with receiving deliveries
  • Properly store, label, and rotate food products
  • Maintain clean and organized refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen workspaces
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Follow all kitchen procedures and safety protocols
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, guests, and team members
  • Support a positive dining experience for residents

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills

Preferred

  • 1+ year of experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Dietary Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Kitchen Cook
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or long-term care
  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain certification)
