Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assists in removal and installation of avionics electrical components.

  • Fabricates wire harnesses and performs terminations for avionics systems.

  • Performs ring-out and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems.

  • Installs, modifies, and fabricates wiring, electrical components, and fixtures per blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

  • Maintains required logs and records for avionics work performed.

  • Ensures work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

  • Checks all work and ensures a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

  • Reads and interprets basic blueprints and schematic diagrams for avionics installations.

  • Applies knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

  • Complies with FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years related work experience is required.

  • An avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one year related work experience is an alternative qualification.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications is required.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams is required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Computer skills and general software knowledge are necessary.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Ability to properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools is required.
