Join our dynamic finance team, where you'll take charge of impactful accounting tasks throughout the entire cycle, from journal entries and reconciliations to cost analysis and cross-functional teamwork in an exciting avionics setting where your contributions matter!

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

At Avidyne, your accounting expertise will play a vital role in maintaining accurate books, ensuring timely financial closures, and keeping our business informed and thriving!

Cost accounting & inventory

Manage cost accounting functions and assist with inventory valuation by reconciling subledgers to the general ledger.

Analyze product costs, manufacturing variances, and the cost of goods sold. Investigate inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Operations.

Review purchase price variances, labor costs, and overhead allocations to keep costing accurate.

General ledger & financial reporting

Prepare monthly journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments, ensuring that all documentation is ready for audit purposes.

Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close by preparing schedules and financial reports for management review.

Accounts payable & receivable

Provide backup support for dedicated AP and AR staff during peak periods and coverage gaps, ensuring proper coding to the correct GL accounts, projects, and cost centers.

Monitor AR aging, assist with collections, and prepare customer invoicing as needed.

Compliance & internal controls

Ensure compliance with GAAP, maintain robust internal controls, and assist with both internal and external audits.

Identify process improvement opportunities and help put better procedures in place.

Cross-functional partnership

Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to support business initiatives with financial analysis.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc requests from finance leadership.

WHAT YOU NEED

Bachelor's degree in accounting required.

Knowledge of GAAP and accounting cycle processes.

Understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.

ERP and accounting software experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

HELPFUL TO HAVE

CPA designation or progress toward certification.

Two or more years of accounting experience.

Manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or defense industry experience.

Inventory and cost accounting experience.

Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

ASC 606 revenue recognition knowledge.

Process improvement and internal controls experience.

Interest in aviation or pilot's license a plus.
