We are seeking an Aviation Project Engineer in our San Diego or Phoenix office to support airport infrastructure projects in the southwest and across the U.S. You will be providing project management and design support, technical delivery, and client management for aviation projects. In this role, you will have opportunities to work at both commercial service and general aviation airports, and to interact with customers, FAA/DOT personnel, permitting officials and multi-disciplinary C&S teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project management and leading the technical delivery of airport development projects in the Southwest region.
  • Supporting other projects in C&S offices across the country.
  • Engaging with clients to solve problems and improve their airport facilities.
  • Leading the communication with clients, FAA and other project stakeholders.
  • Leading internal team of design professionals to deliver exciting projects for our clients.
  • Coordinating with sub-consultants and multi-discipline teams throughout design and construction.
  • Administration and oversight of the construction of our designed projects.
  • Developing engineering plans utilizing CAD software including 3D models, engineering studies and reports, specifications, and cost estimates.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Desired Education & Experience

  • AutoCAD and Civil3D experience
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills
  • Resourceful and self-motivated
  • Solid organizational skills with a focus on details
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • At 5-10 years of experience in airfield design/construction including the knowledge of airfield and FAA regulations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a passion for lifelong learning or similar technical degree
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or desire to pursue license
  • Strong teamwork and communications skills
  • Ability to set deadlines, manage resources, and monitor/summarize project progress

Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits

$95,000 - $125,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
