Market Leader – Aviation (Construction)

Houston, TX

Base Salary: $300,000 (based on exp.) + Bonus Opportunity

Join a nationally recognized General Contractor seeking a dynamic Market Leader – Aviation to spearhead strategic growth in the aviation sector across Texas and beyond. This high-impact leadership role combines deep construction expertise with client-facing leadership and market expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Leadership & Strategy
  • Drive overall strategy, positioning, and growth of the aviation construction market sector in the Houston region and across Texas.

  • Identify and pursue high-value aviation project opportunities (airports, terminals, hangars, MROs, etc.).

  • Partner with executive leadership to set revenue targets, go-to-market strategies, and long-term client development plans.

Business Development & Client Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with key aviation clients, including airport authorities, municipalities, and private developers.

  • Lead RFQ/RFP pursuits, interviews, and proposal development for major aviation opportunities.

  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements.

Project Oversight & Collaboration
  • Serve as an executive sponsor or advisor on major aviation projects from preconstruction through delivery.

  • Collaborate with operations, estimating, and preconstruction teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.

  • Contribute to staffing decisions, resource planning, and risk management for aviation sector projects.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, with at least 5 years in aviation-related projects on the GC-side.

  • Proven track record in business development, client management, and strategic growth within the construction industry.

  • Strong network of relationships within the Texas aviation sector is highly preferred.

  • Ability to lead high-level strategy and collaborate cross-functionally with operational and executive teams.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

  • Must have General Contractor construction experience.
