Job Description:

NDi is seeking a Junior Aviation Analyst to support a federal aviation safety analytics program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The program supports the Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) environment, which enables the FAA, industry partners, and international aviation organizations to analyze aviation safety data, share safety information, and support collaborative risk mitigation initiatives across the National Airspace System. The Junior Aviation Analyst will support aviation safety research, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination activities. The role includes assisting with aviation safety studies, preparing research materials, supporting safety teams and working groups, and helping coordinate meetings, conferences, and outreach activities that support FAA aviation safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • This position is remote with occasional meetings in Washington D.C.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Public Policy, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of professional experience supporting aviation analysis, research, program analysis, or technical research activities.
  • Experience conducting research and analysis using technical or operational datasets.
  • Experience preparing written reports, summaries, or briefing materials.
  • Experience supporting meetings, workshops, or collaborative working groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Coursework or professional experience related to aviation safety, aviation operations, or transportation systems.
  • Experience supporting federal or aviation-related programs.
  • Experience supporting analytical studies or research projects.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety organizations or aviation operational data.

Responsibilities:

Aviation Safety Research and Analysis:

  • Assist with aviation safety studies by researching aviation safety data, operational trends, and relevant aviation materials.
  • Support the preparation of research summaries, analytical reports, and briefing materials.
  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and reviewing aviation safety data used in analytical studies.

Stakeholder and Safety Team Support:

  • Support coordination with FAA offices, industry partners, and aviation safety organizations.
  • Assist with maintaining records of safety team activities, meeting materials, and research outputs.
  • Support preparation of summaries and materials used by aviation safety working groups.

Meeting and Conference Support:

  • Assist with planning and coordination of aviation safety meetings, workshops, and conferences.

Documentation and Program Support:

  • Assist with preparation of program documentation, reports, and presentation materials.
