Job description

As a Communications Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's external communication efforts. Your responsibilities will include crafting and executing communication plans that enhance the organization's reputation, maintaining a consistent brand image, and supporting its goals. You will be instrumental in developing content, managing media relations, and ensuring effective communication with external audiences, including media, customers, partners, and stakeholders.

You will work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Over 2 years of proven experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related role.
  • Over 2 years with experience providing work in writing, editing, and verbal communication is a much for this role.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn postings and analytics tools.
  • Able to convert complex language and content into Simple Communications.
  • Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in media relations and crisis communication to effectively manage the company's public image.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies that enhance brand reputation.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation:

  • Develop and produce high-quality content for various channels, including press releases, social media posts, internal memos, newsletters, and byline articles.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across all communications.

2. Media Relations:

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with media outlets and journalists.
  • Coordinate media inquiries and prepare materials for media outreach.

3. Social Media Management:

  • Manage and grow Process Technology social media presence by developing engaging content and monitoring online interactions.
  • Analyze social media metrics to optimize performance and engagement.

4. Internal Communications:

  • Support internal communication initiatives by creating informative and engaging content for employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote organizational changes and achievements.

5. Event Support:

  1. Assist in the execution of Process Technology events, including product launches, trade shows, and community engagement activities.
  2. Develop promotional materials and ensure effective communication before, during, and after events.

6. Research and Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in communications and public relations.
