Job description

The Hydraulic Technician will perform all operational and maintenance tasks associated with hydraulic motors, pumps, scavenge fans and ceiling components in support of the U.S. Navy's Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position will apply industry knowledge to perform operational tasks on a variety of equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct the depot-level repair, troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection, refurbishment, reassembly and testing on hydraulic motors, pumps, scavenge fans and steering components
• Perform operational tasks including, but not limited to, hydraulic component repair, failure analysis, test setup, documentation and return to service recommendations
• Perform routine work with limited to no supervision or instruction
• Ability to take on new assignments with general instructions
• Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion
• Use knowledge of industry standard policies, procedures and practical applications to complete job tasks
• Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
Education:
• High School Degree Required
• Hydraulic systems training required
• OEM training preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance required
Experience:
• Five to seven (5-7) years of experience with hydraulic systems
• Experience with pressure test safety and contamination control
• Knowledge and previous experience with hydraulic, mechanical, industrial, aviation, marine or heavy equipment
Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with engineering and quality control
• Ability to work with various levels of personnel
• Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Other:
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
