Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Cleaner to join our aviation team. The Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning, degreasing, and preparing aircraft engine components and aviation parts in accordance with company procedures, safety standards, and industry regulations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of aircraft components prior to inspection, repair, or assembly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clean aircraft engine parts, components, and hardware using approved solvents, chemicals, and cleaning equipment.

Operate pressure washers, ultrasonic cleaners, bead blasters, and other cleaning machinery safely and effectively.

Inspect parts for visible damage, corrosion, contamination, or excessive wear and report findings to supervisors.

Properly handle, label, and store cleaned components to prevent contamination or damage.

Follow FAA regulations, company procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.

Dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

Assist technicians and warehouse personnel with movement and organization of parts as needed.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cleaning processes and work completed.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, industrial, or aviation cleaning environments preferred.

Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, solvents, and industrial equipment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of aircraft parts and equipment.

Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.

Work Environment

This position works in an aviation maintenance and repair facility. The employee may be exposed to industrial cleaning agents, machinery, and aircraft components. Strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements is mandatory.
