Job description

Job Summary:

Avfuel's global network includes a fueling network of over 3,000 worldwide locations and over 650 Avfuel Branded Dealers throughout North America and Europe. Avfuel is securely and uniquely positioned in the industry, providing services to airlines, freight and cargo companies, corporate flight departments, airports and municipalities, fixed-based operators (FBO's), crop dusters, helicopters, and the military.

We're seeking a dispatcher to join our team who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively with a team, and who has a passion for making a direct impact for customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive calls from customers, and process and place fuel orders
  • Initiate contact to carriers, terminals and follow up with customers
  • Responsible for maintaining a particular territory of customers
  • Typical working hours are 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm Monday-Friday with the occasional afternoons and weekends as needed
  • On call support (responding from home) may be needed. We're seeking a flexible team player who is focused on serving our customers' needs.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required
  • College degree preferred
  • Dispatch experience preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Data entry with speed and accuracy
  • Usage and familiarity with computerized software package
  • Logistics experience and approach for problem solving
  • Organization and adaptation with attention to detail
