Job description

Our employees are actively involved in the design, engineering and manufacture of technologically advanced medical devices that ensure that we meet our customer's quality specifications for each product we produce.
We are looking for a Laser Etch/ Engrave Operator to join our Warsaw, IN location on a 3rd shift schedule. You will set up and operate Laser Etch machine to engrave/etch metal parts.
What You'll Do:
  • Operate and maintain laser equipment, hand tools, fixtures and jigs
  • Check complete orders in Laser Etching area for paperwork accuracy, verify count
  • Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
  • Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
  • Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
  • Program laser equipment for operation
  • Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
  • Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
  • Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine appropriate operation to be performed
  • Able to check parts on the comparator and the micro vu
  • Understanding of programming for Laser Etch; previous related experience required
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
