Job description

Step Into Precision at Avalign

At Avalign, we design and manufacture advanced medical instruments and implants that clinicians trust and patients depend on. As our team expands, we’re adding a Swiss Turning Specialist to help us push quality, delivery, and innovation even further.

A Day in the Life

6:30 AM: Review the production plan, open work orders in our ERP, and check machine monitoring dashboards to align priorities for on‑time delivery.
7:00 AM: Set up a CNC Swiss-style lathe for a new implant component. Load tools, dial-in offsets, and run program debugging to optimize cycle time and part quality. Document your setup per change control procedures.
9:30 AM: First‑article inspection using calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators. Confirm dimensions against blueprints, check-sheets, and work instructions; address any burr removal and finishing requirements.
11:00 AM: Provide clear feedback to CNC programmers about tool paths and opportunities for improvement. Update setup documentation to keep it current and repeatable.
1:00 PM: Coach teammates in your area on best practices, assist with changeovers, and support training for new product introductions (NPI).
3:00 PM: Troubleshoot production gaps, drive continuous improvements, and execute the plan to hit delivery commitments—without compromising our quality standards.
