What We Look For In a Basic Computer Literacy Tutor

  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with basic computer literacy curricula and common challenges such as mouse and keyboard unfamiliarity, file management confusion, and online safety awareness gaps. Adapts instruction using hands-on practice, simplified visual guides, and patient repetition to support adult learners, seniors, and others new to technology building essential digital literacy skills for personal and professional independence.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
