Job description

The Mission: Powering the Autonomy Revolution

Moove AV is the silent engine behind the next generation of mobility. We don’t just manage fleets; we engineer the operational infrastructure that allows autonomous vehicle (AV) technology to scale globally. By partnering with world-class OEMs and tech providers, we ensure that high-performance vehicle fleets are deployed with surgical precision and peak efficiency.

As we scale into new markets, our ability to source, secure, and optimize hardware is our greatest competitive advantage. We are looking for a Director/Head of Fleet Vehicle Procurement & Strategic Sourcing to own the vehicle lifecycle and build the procurement engine that will move the world.

The Role: Architect of Assets

This is not a back-office purchasing role. You will sit at the high-stakes intersection of Procurement, Fleet Intelligence, and Global Strategy. Your mandate is to own the end-to-end vehicle sourcing lifecycle—negotiating directly with global OEMs to ensure Moove AV has the right hardware, at the right cost, at the exact moment the market demands it.

Your Impactful Responsibilities1. High-Stakes OEM Strategy
  • Command the Negotiation: Lead multi-million dollar procurement strategies, mastering pricing structures, volume commitments, and delivery timelines.

  • Build Partnerships: Act as the primary commercial face of Moove AV, cultivating deep-rooted relationships with global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

  • Risk Architecture: Negotiate sophisticated contracts that balance rebates, warranty frameworks, and innovative risk-sharing mechanisms.

2. Technical Program Management
  • Define the Standard: Collaborate with Engineering to translate operational needs into rigorous vehicle specifications optimized for autonomous, high-utilization environments.

  • Master the TCO: Balance the art of fleet standardization with the science of market-specific customization to drive down Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

3. Deployment & Velocity
  • Orchestrate Delivery: Synchronize production slot allocations with market launch readiness to ensure we never miss a deployment window.

  • Mitigate Volatility: Proactively identify and neutralize supply-side risks—from production bottlenecks to global component shortages—before they impact the bottom line.

4. Operational Rigor & Scalability
  • Data-Driven Sourcing: Establish KPI-driven supplier scorecards to monitor quality, cost, and delivery performance.

  • The Playbook: Design and codify the "Moove Sourcing Playbook," creating a scalable framework as we expand into international territories.

What You Bring to the Driver's Seat
  • The Veteran Edge: 10+ years in high-level strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management—ideally within the automotive or high-tech logistics space.

  • The Negotiator’s Mindset: You have a proven track record of sitting across the table from global OEMs and securing favorable commercial terms.

  • Analytical Prowess: You live in the data, with the ability to model complex TCO scenarios and translate them into actionable executive strategy.

  • Ambiguity Management: You thrive in fast-scaling environments where the path isn’t always paved, but the destination is clear.

Qualifications

  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

  • This role is based in our Phoenix or Miami hubs; however, we are open to a remote arrangement for exceptionally qualified candidates.

  • Travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally.

Why This Role Matters

At Moove AV, procurement is mission-critical. Your decisions directly dictate our ability to scale, our cost efficiency, and our speed-to-market. In this role, you aren’t just buying cars; you are securing the physical assets that form the foundation of the autonomous era.

Success in year one looks like: A flawlessly executed multi-market sourcing cycle, a robust OEM governance framework, and a supply chain that is as resilient as the technology we deploy.
