Digital Consultants seeks a Lead AV/IT Technician to support AV/IT operations at Fort Leonard Wood. This role serves as the senior technical lead for daily operations, event support, and complex troubleshooting. The Lead Technician ensures system readiness, coordinates technician activities, and supports mission-critical AV/IT systems across MSCoE G6 facilities.


Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO


Duties to include:

  • Lead field technician operations and assign daily tasks
  • Provide advanced Tier 2 troubleshooting and system repair
  • Install, configure, and maintain AV/IT systems and networks
  • Program and modify Crestron, Extron, and AMX control systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain documentation
  • Support AV/IT event setup, rehearsals, and live operations
  • Maintain equipment inventory and lifecycle data
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
  • Coordinate with G6 IT staff and cybersecurity personnel
Requirements:
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Security+ required, CTS or CTS-I strongly preferred
  • Education: High school diploma required
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of AV/IT field technician or system integration experience
    • Advanced understanding of AV/IT troubleshooting and integration
    • Experience with AV control system programming
    • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
    • Ability to lead teams and coordinate technical work
    • Ability to support mission-critical events under time constraints
  • Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.
