Responsibilities and Qualifications

In this role, you willmaintainand enhance AV/VTC/Multimediainfrastructure, ensure secure and reliable operations, and provide expert technical support to end users across multiple sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on IT experience withAV/VTC/Multimediasystems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a trusted subject matter expert for staff and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update existing AV/VTC/Multimedia systems, including hardware, software, patches, upgrades, and unique applications, using government-approved solutions.
  • Provide both standard and advanced enterprise-wide AV/VTC/Multimedia support, including configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware/software issues.
  • Manage and track support requests using ServiceNow, ensuring timely input, updates, and closure of tickets.
  • Support and maintain a wide range of AV/VTC/Multimedia equipment, including network connections, controllers, audio/video interfaces, Multimedia Display & Distribution Service (MDDS), and other peripherals within the government environment.
  • Coordinate with vendors for warranty or proprietary repairs, validate the accuracy of vendor fixes, and ensure equipment is fully restored.
  • Serve as an AV/VTC/Multimedia subject matter expert (SME) to NRO Information Operations and NRO Headquarters, assisting with the setup and deployment of AV/VTC/Multimedia systems.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to NRO Information Operations personnel on AV/VTC/Multimedia deployment, administration, and troubleshooting best practices.
  • Research and evaluate the impact of upgrades, patches, service packs, and applications on AV/VTC/Multimedia systems, providing recommendations to minimize downtime.
  • Deliver advanced AV/VTC/Multimedia support to site personnel and advise NRO Headquarters personnel on AV/VTC/Multimedia strategies and solutions.
  • Ensure AV/VTC/Multimedia systems remain secure by responding to NRO CERT Advisories, Bulletins, and Taskings, mitigating vulnerabilities across equipment and transmissions.
  • Generate and deliver reports to the Information Assurance Office for monitoring and tracking CERT compliance and AV/VTC/Multimedia security posture.
  • Prepare and present project updates, findings, and technical briefings as directed by the TOPM, COTR, or COR.
  • Provide Advanced AV/VTC/Multimedia Tier III Support for the AV/VTC/Multimedia infrastructure at NRO, Information Operations.
  • Provide support in the implementation and sustainment of AV/VTC/Multimedia throughout NRO, Information Operations
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, equipment configuration guides, and user-friendly job aids to standardize AV/VTC/Multimedia operations and reduce reliance on administrators for basic tasks.
  • Support the implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of AV/VTC/Multimedia infrastructure across NRO Information Operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 3 years of overall professional experiencesupporting professional audio-visual, broadcast, or multimedia display and distribution systems, including installation, integration, and sustainment of AV control and distribution platforms in the systems administration field.
  • 3 years of experience supporting Multimedia Display & Distribution Services (MDDS) or comparable enterprise AV/multimedia systems ishighlypreferred.
  • 3 years of experience serving as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point of contact and coordinating with OEM/vendor (Tier 4) support is preferred.

Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Manufacturer Trainings (ex. Evertz, Extron, Crestron)
  • CTS(CTS-I, CTS-D) preferred
  • CEA (Certified Audio Engineer) preferred
  • CVE (Certified Video Engineer) preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree inBroadcast/AV engineering, electricalengineering,ora relatedfield.Equivalency: Associate's degree plus 2additionalyears of experience, or a total of 8 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Target salary range: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00.
