Position Summary: Commercial Project Manager
The Project Manager leads complex, multi-disciplinary technology integration and installation projects from initiation through completion. This role oversees project strategy, execution, financial performance, cross-functional coordination, subcontractor management, and team development to ensure delivery excellence. Responsibilities include orchestrating engineering, installation, procurement, scheduling, and quality control activities while serving as a senior escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Project Leadership & Execution
- Plan, organize, direct, and control all phases of large-scale or highly complex installation and integration projects.
- Maintain project plans, specifications, and documentation up to and including job status, job changes, material flow and other control records as well as, supervising the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use
- Oversee engineering design and drafting phases.
- Lead development and implementation of detailed project installation plans and procedures.
- Evaluate project data to determine necessary changes to design, pricing, schedule, or scope.
- Assist in estimating projects which the company is bidding
Scheduling & Coordination
- Plans, schedule and maintain installation schedules, and coordinate with construction schedules.
- Select and manage subcontractors including selection and performance oversight.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, supplies, and services.
- Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades.
Financial & Operational Management
- Estimate and validate project costs, pricing, and financial forecasts.
- Oversee accurate project reporting.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure the highest standards of quality throughout installation and implementation.
- Conduct regular assessments of work quality and compliance.
- Keeps self, superiors, and subordinates informed of progress.
-Studies literature and attends seminars to stay current with regards to products, processes and materials.
-Works with production management to identify installation procedures and product training for advancement.

    • Associates degree (2 year) or Bachelor's degree (4 year) in a technical capacity is desirable
    • Five years of experience in the engineering and installation of Electronic Security systems, or related field.
    • Has a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC's and operations. Good subcontracting skills required. An understanding of job financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the handling of large projects.
    • 5+ years of project management required

    Qualifications
    - Extensive experience managing complex construction, technology, or systems integration projects.
    - Expertise in cost control, financial reporting, subcontractor oversight, and schedule management.
    - Strong understanding of engineering, drafting, procurement, and installation processes.
    - Demonstrated success in team leadership and cross-functional coordination.
    - Ability to operate effectively in fast-changing environments.

Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel to local job sites within driving distance and air travel to out-of-state job sites including occasional overnight travel. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to fly as needed for project requirements.
